Optimal Health and Wellness

I recently embarked on a mission which I called Operation Optimal Health and Wellness. It was about getting my health back in all areas, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, financial. It wasn’t about weigh loss, however that would be an extra benefit that would be welcomed. It was more of a total transformation and releasing what no longer serves me, including relationships, limiting and self-sabotaging beliefs, the past, and material things.

I went through a bootcamp style regime for 21 days which included detoxing the physical and emotional body and my environment. I wasn’t planning though on just doing 21 days, stop and then go back to my old ways. This mission was about changing my life and my lifestyle.

It wasn’t easy at times and at one point after doing so well, and feeling and seeing results, I had a setback that was difficult for me to accept at first. I didn’t let it stop me though. I pushed through it, knowing my body was adjusting and it was a process. I also went through some very difficult emotional times. I welcomed all of it because I wanted everything to come up to be cleaned and cleared. I refuse to stuff it back again only to manifest again later.

It has been paying off and I feel so much clearer, more focused, more healthy and happier. People were noticing a difference. Some said it looks like I lost weight, some said I had more of a glow, some just could sense that I was in a better place.

A couple of nights ago, I had a very insightful dream which inspired me to take this a step further. I reminisced about my past, the good, the bad and the ugly. I took a piece of paper and wrote everything that I wanted to release including hanging onto old hurts, resentments, guilt, anger, fear, limiting beliefs. I also wrote out all the major events that were perceived as negative, at least at the time. Another paper I wrote everything I was grateful for in my past, my relationships, the events that changed my life, my strengths. Both of these papers represented my past, everything that helped carve me into what I am today. I then read them aloud, folded the papers up and then burned them. As I did, I said a blessing of thanks.

Then the next day, I celebrated my life, and the life I want to have. I listed everything that is presently in my life that I am grateful for. I listed everything I want to do, be and have in my future. I celebrated my accomplishments. I pampered myself, put on some dancing music, drank some wine and made a toast to myself, and read aloud what I wrote. I declared that from that day forward that I would celebrate my life each day. I would commit to my happiness and well being and take the necessary steps to make my future dreams a reality.

I invite you this week to take time to celebrate who you were, who are now and who you are becoming. Make a date night with yourself and create an atmosphere of celebration.
